Although I've travelled all over the world, I call Ojai home. I've lived in the Ojai Valley since I was a teenager.
The Mediterranean climate, the chaparral, the fragrance of sage brush, (cowboy cologne) gracious oak trees, orange groves with an abundance of golden sweet fruit, The mountains with names and faces like "Chief's Peak," and the lore of the Chumash, the scary tale of Charman, the spiritual teachings of Krishnamurti, the art of Beatrice Wood, the food of Alan Hooker, the hot springs in Matilija...lots of changes over the years. Yet, some things still remain. The nature walks, or crawls by our local naturalist, fine art galleries, an art center that is a community hub. Art classes, dance,yoga, local theater.
Ojai a lifestyle that is gracious and creative. Whether you are interested in the arts, music, golf, tennis, hiking, raising a family, or retiring.
